Job Summary
Field Service Engineer for the Automation Industry responsible for on-site electrical, mechanical, and control checks; lead startup, checkout, and acceptance testing for warehouse fulfillment and manufacturing systems; collaborate with automation and controls engineers to test, troubleshoot, and validate systems on-site; provide clear updates to customers and project teams; travel rotations (e.g., 5 on–2 off, 10 on–4 off, 14 on–7 off) across North America and work without a fixed office location. Requires a technical foundation in electrical systems, programming, and networking, strong communication and problem-solving skills, and willingness to travel extensively. Must be authorized to work in the U.S., with proximity to a major airport and a personal vehicle for local projects.
Required Qualifications
- Authorized to work in the U.S.
- 3+ years in electrical, mechanical, or automation engineering (related field)
- Technical degree or equivalent hands-on experience
- Working knowledge of electrical systems, programming, and communication networking
- Must live within 50 miles of a major airport
- Personal vehicle within 45 days of employment
