Job Summary
Field Service Engineer role with ProAutomated involves traveling across North America to support automation projects. The position emphasizes on-site mechanical, electrical, and control checks, startup, checkout, and acceptance testing for warehouse fulfillment and manufacturing systems. You’ll work with system integrators and manufacturers, lead startup activities, troubleshoot with automation and controls engineers, and communicate progress to customers and project teams. The company offers four-week paid training, a starting salary of $60k–$75k with per diem and bonuses, and substantial growth opportunities through paid training, merit raises, and potential salary increases after six months. Benefits include health/dental/life insurance, 401(k) with matching, disability options, paid vacation, and flexible time off after 18 months. Travel rotations follow defined schedules (e.g., 5 on/2 off, 10 on/4 off, 14 on/7 off). Required Qualifications
- A technical degree or equivalent hands-on experience (3+ years) in a related field such as electrical, mechanical, or automation engineering
- Authorized to work in the U.S.
- Must live within 50 miles of a major airport (relocation assistance available)
- Personal vehicle within 45 days of employment (for local projects)
- Working knowledge of electrical systems, programming, and communication networking
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
