Job Summary
Field Service Engineer role focused on travel-heavy, on-site automation support across North America. Responsibilities include supporting data center startups, performing mechanical/electrical/control checks, leading startup and acceptance testing for warehouse and manufacturing systems, partnering with automation engineers to test and troubleshoot on-site, and delivering clear communications to customers and project teams. Rotations include 5 on-2 off, 10 on-4 off, or 14 on-7 off; requires adaptability, travel, and hands-on problem solving. Training provided with four weeks of paid instruction; the position emphasizes field work, customer interaction, and growth opportunities within ProAutomated.
Required Qualifications
- Authorized to work in the U.S.
- A technical degree or equivalent hands-on experience in electrical, mechanical, or automation engineering (3+ years)
- Must live within 50 miles of a major airport (relocation assistance available)
- Personal vehicle within 45 days of employment (for local projects)
- A genuine love of travel; willingness to be away from home on rotation
