Job Summary
Field Service Engineer for the Automation Industry role requires hands-on, travel-focused workinstalling and validating automation systems in collaboration with system integrators and manufacturers. Responsibilities include on-site mechanical, electrical, and control checks for data center startups; leading startup, checkout, and acceptance testing for warehouse fulfillment and manufacturing systems; partnering with automation and controls engineers to test and troubleshoot on-site; and providing clear updates to customers and project teams. The position emphasizes travel across North America on rotation schedules and strong communication and problem-solving skills. Required Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in electrical, mechanical, or automation engineering or a technical degree in a related field
- working knowledge of electrical systems, programming, and communication networking
- authorized to work in the U.S.
- ability to travel with typical rotations (5 on-2 off, 10 on-4 off, or 14 on-7 off)
- must live within 50 miles of a major airport
- own a personal vehicle within 45 days of employment
