Job Summary
Operate and maintain the Integrated Processing Facility systems at Vandenberg SFB, including facility control, power generation, HVAC, and emergency power units. Perform preventative maintenance, repairs, and installs while troubleshooting equipment using mechanical drawings and electronic schematics. Set up test equipment to evaluate system performance under simulated conditions and provide detailed data analysis for project reviews. Manage critical spare parts control, operate a fork truck, and supervise contractors as needed. Collaborate with departments to meet customer requirements and provide technical interfaces during payload processing. Adhere to safety policies and follow Standard Operating Procedures, electrical drawings, and Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams.
Required Qualifications
- Associate's degree in mechanical engineering or related technical field and 3+ years of experience in complex mechanical maintenance and repair
- H.S. diploma and 5+ years of experience in complex mechanical maintenance and repair
- Read, understand, and work from Standard Operating Procedures, electrical drawings, and Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs)
- Experience working around space vehicle flight hardware, and clean room operations and protocols
- Ability to work independently within a cross-functional team
- Able to supervise contractors and vendors performing work in the facility as needed
- Capable of walking and moving around job site
- Active TS/SCI clearance (or ability to obtain)

- 6+ years of Integrated Processing Facility experience
- In depth knowledge of OSHA regulations
- Ability to multi-task and manage/accommodate multiple projects
