Job Summary
The Field Service Engineer will install and start-up new and reworked automotive testing equipment while conducting maintenance, troubleshooting, and inspections. Responsibilities include training presentations, start-up and testing machinery on the plant floor, conducting final acceptance testing at customer sites, and producing accurate trip reports. The role demands a thorough technical knowledge of the assigned product line and supervision of outside labor contractors for installations. Travel is required 50-90%.
Required Qualifications
- BSEE
- 1-2 year’s field experience
- Self-motivated
- Valid Driver’s License and Clean Driving Record
- Good working knowledge of machinery
- Able to understand electronic and computer hardware functionality
Desired Qualifications
- Strong mechanical background
- Knowledge of PLC’s, with ability to understand and read ladder logic
- Experience with “C” programming
- Experience in performing closed-loop system tuning and identifying system characteristics and limitations
