Job Summary
Field Service Engineer sought to support new product installs, perform optimization and certification, and provide troubleshooting and repair services for TMC’s products. Responsibilities include environmental surveys (floor vibration, room magnetic field, acoustic measurements), preparing detailed technical reports, maintaining client relationships, expanding survey capabilities, supporting installations and existing product service, and traveling globally (primarily NA with potential Europe/Asia/ Americas travel). Requires independent work, strong customer service mindset, and ability to resolve technical issues. Travel-heavy role with up to 50-70% travel; must have Associate Degree (or relevant military experience) and 3-5 years of related experience; proficiency with data acquisition systems, FFT analysis, oscilloscopes; strong electrical/mechanical/pneumatic troubleshooting; effective written and oral communication; valid driver’s license and passport; East Coast residency preferred (CT/NY/NJ/MA).
Required Qualifications
- Associate Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
- 3-5 Years of experience in related field (electrical, mechanical, acoustics, vibration, and/or magnetic fields)
- Familiarity with data acquisition systems, FFT analysis and oscilloscopes
- Strong electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic aptitude and troubleshooting skills
- Ability to travel, work independently and be flexible regarding changes in schedule
- The ability to perform under critical deadlines and time constraints
- Self-motivated and an effective team player
- Effective communication skills, both orally and written, with technical and non-technical individuals
- Proficiency in English
- Must possess a valid driver’s license and passport
- Must live in the East Coast area within 1 hour drive to MAJOR airport; preferably CT, NY, NJ, or MA
