Job Summary
Conduct on-site installation, calibration, repair, and maintenance of complex plasma processing equipment at customer sites. Troubleshoot electrical and electronic systems using block diagrams, perform upgrades, and execute preventative and corrective maintenance tasks. Manage day-to-day service activities by working independently with end users to schedule work tasks, while developing strong customer relationships and managing expectations. Drive key projects to improve equipment performance, compile data for reports, and track metrics including costs, uptime, safety, and parts availability. Travel as needed to support customers and exercise considerable latitude in determining technical objectives, with completed work reviewed for business results.
Required Qualifications
- Seven plus years experience in a field service engineer role dealing directly with customers
- Associates degree in electronics
- Equivalent experience in the electronics field
