Field Service Engineer 2

Job Summary
Perform installation, calibration, preventive and corrective maintenance on GE Precision Healthcare medical imaging systems (MRI, CT, X-ray, Ultrasound, Nuclear Medicine) in hospital settings, including on-site servicing in the Corpus Christi, TX area; diagnose and resolve complex issues using advanced troubleshooting; conduct testing to verify performance and regulatory compliance; provide clear technical guidance to customers; manage service calls and maintain detailed service records; coordinate with sales, applications, and support teams; participate in ongoing training and travel as required; requires an Associate's degree or equivalent military experience and 3-5 years of relevant field experience; valid driver's license; ability to travel and be on-call; relocation not provided.
Required Qualifications
- Associate's degree in Biomedical Engineering, Electronics Technology, or a related technical field, or equivalent military experience
- Educational and Technical Requirements associate degree or 4 years of experience servicing electronic equipment OR high school diploma/GED with 6 years of relevant experience
- 3-5 years of experience servicing complex medical imaging equipment
- Strong troubleshooting, repair, and installation capabilities across multi-modality imaging equipment (MRI, CT, X-ray, Ultrasound, Nuclear Medicine)
- Proficiency with reading technical manuals, schematics, and wiring diagrams
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record
- Legal authorization to work in the U.S. and no visa sponsorship
- Ability to travel within assigned territory and work after hours/on-call
- Excellent communication and customer-interaction skills
- Ability to lift and move heavy equipment (up to 50 lbs)
