Job Summary
Install Engineer is responsible for executing the installation, calibration, and initial commissioning of Onto Innovation products at customer sites, including diagnosing and resolving issues, ensuring quality and safety standards, and documenting activities. The role supports ramp activities and collaborates with the Ramp Manager and field teams to meet installation schedules, perform system validation, calibration, and testing, and provide feedback to engineering/product teams. Requires travel domestically and internationally (up to 50%), hands-on experience with electro/mechanical systems and software integration, and a BS in electronics/mechanical or related technical discipline (or equivalent military/technical experience). This position emphasizes customer interaction, clear communication, troubleshooting, and maintaining tools, equipment, and inventory for installation activities.
Required Qualifications
- BS in electronics, mechanical, or related technical discipline, or equivalent military/technical experience
- Hands-on experience with electro/mechanical systems, software integration, and troubleshooting
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
