Job Summary
Field Service Engineer I delivering technical expertise for field startups of standard and custom switchgear systems; duties include startup, preventative maintenance, testing, repair, and advanced electrical services on generator paralleling controls and switchgear; 75% travel; train internal technicians and external customers; collaborate with Product Support Center; support dealer service and sales teams; maintain project documentation; stay current with new systems and platforms; troubleshoot and resolve product quality and performance issues; communicate technical specifications clearly; possess working knowledge of customer-focused service and data analysis; PLC/HMI experience preferred; applies engineering standards and best practices.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (BSEE) or Electrical Engineering Technology (BSEET); alternatively, at least 3 years of relevant industry experience
- Valid driver’s license
- Ability to meet background, drug, and medical requirements
- Remote (U.S.-based) with travel up to 75% (travel requirement)
