Job Summary
Test, repair, convert, and troubleshoot high-complexity problems at the component level on SEL products. Develop and maintain knowledge of SEL processes and products to ensure quality and integrity. Provide basic troubleshooting training to junior department personnel and partner with other divisions to satisfy customer needs. This role requires a two-year electronic engineering technology degree, strong understanding of analog, digital, and microprocessor-based electronics, and willingness to travel up to 75% of the time. The position involves working in an electronics lab environment, lifting up to 35 pounds occasionally, and sitting or standing for at least eight hours. SEL invents, designs, and builds digital products that protect power grids globally, serving customers worldwide with technology that prevents blackouts and improves system reliability.
Required Qualifications
- two-year electronic engineering technology degree or equivalent
- strong understanding of analog, digital, and microprocessor-based electronics
- willing to travel up to 75% of the time
- enjoy working in an electronics lab work environment
- enjoy solving complex problems alongside your team
- Lift, push, pull and maneuver up to 20 pounds frequently
- Lift, push, pull and maneuver up to 35 pounds occasionally
- Sit and stand for at least 8 hours
- Vision correctable to 20/30 or better
- Ability to differentiate color
- Use of computer keyboard devices
- Reach, bend, and twist
Desired Qualifications
