Job Summary
Field Service Crane Technician responsible for diagnosing and repairing mechanical issues in heavy equipment and cranes; inspect, repair, upgrade, install, wire, start up and commission cranes (all manufacturers and types); perform extensive on-site electrical, electronic, mechanical, and structural troubleshooting to determine root causes and implement repairs; read blueprints and welding symbols; complete daily paperwork and service reports; present repairs to customers for acceptance; maintain equipment/tools per manufacturer recommendations; work in extreme conditions and at heights up to 80 feet; travel to customer sites (up to 75%), with valid driver’s license and safe driving record; work independently and as part of a team; basic math, reading, and writing skills; fabrication and rigging a plus; pay ranges $25-$35/hour reflecting experience.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Valid Driver's License and clean driving record must
- Travel as needed, up to 75%
- Working knowledge of general electrical concepts
- Must be mechanically inclined
- Fabrication and rigging a plus
- Ability to read blueprints and welding symbols
