Job Summary
Field Service Associate I-II responsible for on-site servicing, repair, and/or installation of company products at customer sites or service centers. Duties include preventive and unscheduled maintenance, installations, start-ups, and documentation of service activities. Must interpret operation manuals to determine root causes of tool failures, diagnose mechanical, hardware, software, and systems failures using checklists, maintain safe working environment, and coordinate with customers on part replacements and service reporting. Requires ability to read electrical/mechanical schematics, strong communication skills, MS Office proficiency, and the ability to work under supervision in a cross-cultural environment. Education/experience in electronics and semiconductor knowledge preferred; driving record verification may be requested for off-site servicing.
Required Qualifications
- High School or AS Associate of Science degree in Electronics, or completion of an accredited basic electronics program, or equivalent experience
- Four (4) to Six (6) years of work-related experience, preferably in the semiconductor industry
- Working knowledge of MS Office products, including Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint
- Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot down to a component level
- Demonstrated excellent written and oral communication skills
- Capable of providing verification of a good driving record if servicing the customer off-site
