Job Summary
Field Service Assistant provides clerical and administrative support for funeral operations. Responsibilities include preparing for services by arranging floral displays, caskets, urns, photos, and keepsakes; preparing service documents; assisting with preparation of remains as permitted; handling office duties (phones, fax, computer, multi-line phone system, debit card machine); running errands; serving as usher and assisting with transportation; driving funeral home vehicles for services and family pickups; ensuring refreshments where allowed; assisting with visitations and ceremonies; greeting client families and providing information; and supporting staff at monthly meetings. Requires high school diploma or equivalent, valid driver’s license with clean record, proficiency with MS Office and databases, and strong communication and customer-service skills. Compensation: $21.00/hr - $23.00/hr.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid state driver’s license with an acceptable driving record
- Proficient with MS Office suite and databases
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Customer service experience or sales experience preferred
