Job Summary
Field Service Apprentice role (Fixed Term) focused on learning to maintain Bloom Energy servers and fuel cell systems. Six-month term (~1,200 hours) based in Santa Teresa, NM, reporting to the Field Service Regional Manager. You will learn electrical/mechanical systems, perform maintenance, adhere to safety protocols, troubleshoot, and participate in training to understand 3-phase systems, UPS/back-up power, Automatic Transfer Switches, and microprocessor-based control platforms. Requires enrollment in an electrical apprenticeship, strong mechanical and troubleshooting aptitude, ability to work independently and as part of a team, and effective English communication. Includes training, a structured, sequential work environment, and potential shift work with travel for training; physical duties include lifting 45-50lbs and exposure to outdoor conditions.
Required Qualifications
- Enrolled in an electrical apprenticeship program
- Strong mechanical and troubleshooting aptitude
- Ability to follow procedures and execute sequenced work instructions
- Able to communicate effectively in English in both written and verbal form
- Able to travel as needed for training
- Physical ability to lift 45-50lbs and work in outdoor weather conditions
