Field Service and Delivery Technician II - 50% Travel

Job Summary
Review installation requirements, confirm equipment readiness, and lead chemical storage, pumping, and delivery system installations at asphalt plants. Troubleshoot and repair pumps, valves, filters, and electrical components; modify equipment for site conditions. Handle escalated service calls, perform preventive maintenance, and conduct customer start-ups and operator training. Mentor less-experienced technicians and develop standard procedures. Maintain complete service records and communicate directly with plant management. Work independently on active industrial sites with approximately 50% travel, including overnight assignments, while adhering to safety requirements.
Required Qualifications
- At least 5 years mechanical experience with equipment maintenance, pumps, plumbing, automotive repair, agricultural equipment, or manufacturing
- Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot equipment independently
- Ability to read equipment drawings, wiring diagrams, or installation instructions
- Strong judgment and the ability to make practical field decisions
- Professional customer-service and communication skills
- Ability to train and support less-experienced technicians
- At least two years of safe driving experience
- Ability to operate a heavy-duty pickup or service truck and tow a utility trailer
- Ability and willingness to travel approximately 50%, including overnight travel
- Ability to work independently on active industrial sites and follow PPE and site-safety requirements
- Willingness to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Ability to work occasionally on elevated industrial platforms, ladders, and catwalks
- Provides Own Tools and had ability to use hand tools, power tools, meters, and common diagnostic equipment
- Ability to obtain and maintain a DOT Medical Card
Desired Qualifications
- Advanced understanding of electrical systems, wiring, switches, motors, or 12-volt controls is preferred
- CDL license is preferred but Not Required
