Job Summary
Coordinate with UNDSS, local government security organizations, and other UN agencies to implement security operations and maintain the Security Plan. Assess the duty station security situation, conduct evaluations for staff residences, and organize training on security awareness. Manage routine correspondence, access control, and incident databases while supporting field missions and emergency response actions. Maintain records for ID card issuance and follow up on security risk management measures. Ensure compliance with host country safety codes and support investigations in coordination with the Head of Office.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- A minimum of four years of progressively responsible experience in security
- Prior experience within the United Nations system
- Field Security Associate (FSA) certification
- Fluency in Arabic
- Fluency in English
- Knowledge of VHF radio operation
- Knowledge of host country safety codes
- Possession of a valid driver's license
- Ability to drive a 4x4
- Ability to travel
- Physically fit
- Commitment to the ideals of the United Nations Charter and the Organization's core values
- Demonstrated ability to establish priorities and to plan, coordinate and monitor his/her own work plan with minimum supervision
- Ability to work under pressure or in crisis situations
- Availability to travel within the area of responsibility
- Proven interpersonal skills and the ability to listen and work in a multi-cultural, multi-ethnic environment with sensitivity and respect for diversity
- Proven and sustained communication (verbal and written) skills
- Solid computers skills (MS Word, Excel, Access and PowerPoint)
Desired Qualifications

- Experience in diplomatic security or protection
- Prior experience within the military, police, or a related field
