Job Summary
Outside Sales Representative at Spectrum drives growth by acquiring residential customers through face-to-face interactions, conducts consultative needs analyses to tailor Spectrum offerings (high-speed data, mobile, landline, and video), presents compelling proposals, and completes sales documentation. The role emphasizes travel to assigned territories (roughly 90% outdoors with minimal office time), meeting monthly targets, staying informed on competitors, and participating in training. Candidates should possess strong interpersonal and communication skills, the ability to work evenings/weekends, and a valid driver’s license with access to a personal vehicle. The position offers a base salary plus incentives aiming toward total compensation over $100,000 annually, and includes Spectrum services benefits.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent work experience
- Ability to travel (including during inclement weather)
- Valid driver’s license, car insurance, satisfactory driving record, and use of a reliable personal vehicle
- Ability to work evenings and weekends
- Ability to read, write, speak and understand English
- Experience with customer-facing sales and relationship-building (2+ years preferred)
- Willingness to work outdoors and travel to assigned territories
