Job Summary
Field Sales Representative responsible for increasing sales by creating, defending, and penetrating markets through lead generation and customer interaction. Responsibilities include establishing relationships with customers, ensuring timely responses to inquiries, strategizing with management on large customer quotes, and maintaining market awareness. Requires excellent communication, negotiation, analytical skills, and a driver's license for regional travel.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Bachelor’s degree and two years of field sales experience, preferably in component sales and/or engineering, with a background that includes progression from inside sales or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Must possess a valid Driver’s License, safe driving record and be insurable by the Companies’ liability carrier.
- Must be able to travel 50%, amount varies based on territory assigned.

- Thorough knowledge and understanding of sales, purchasing, product, vendors, warehousing, branch operations and systems.
- Exceptional knowledge of company products and services.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including excellent presentation skills.
- Strong analytical, problem solving and negotiation skills.
- Ability to present complex topics effectively to senior management, public groups and boards of directors.
- Strong analytical skills (able to calculate discounts, interests, commissions, proportions and percentages).
- Ability to write reports, business correspondence, articles and presentations proficiently and professionally.
- Ability to type 40 words per minute.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word and PowerPoint) at a basic level.
