Job Summary
The Field Sales Engineer is responsible for selling and supporting Shimadzu’s Analytical Instrument portfolio, building and maintaining strong customer relationships, and meeting or exceeding sales targets. This role includes developing strategic sales plans, managing accounts, and providing consultative support to customers. The successful candidate will have a bachelor’s degree in a life science discipline, at least 3 years of relevant sales experience, and a strong technical understanding of analytical instruments.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a life science discipline; Chemistry strongly preferred
- Minimum of 3 years of successful sales experience with relevant analytical instruments
- Valid driver’s license required
- Willingness to travel up to 50% overnight
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with chromatography and mass spectrometry
- Proven experience in developing and executing sales strategies
- Strong technical knowledge of analytical instrumentation
- Proficient in CRM systems
