Field Safety Technician

Job Summary
Advocate for Signal Energy by promoting company culture, policies, and procedures while representing the firm professionally with clients, subcontractors, and local officials. Assist crew members with daily paperwork including job safety analyses, work instructions, and permit-to-work forms, then complete and document weekly job site audits. Audit and manage safety equipment such as spill kits, first aid kits, and power tool inspections, while assisting with PPE distribution. Exercise stop-work authority when necessary and facilitate site-specific trainings and toolbox talks. Partner with the Safety Manager, Project Manager, and Construction Manager to ensure field safety program needs are addressed and that corrective actions are completed per regulatory requirements. Champion the ALLSAFE cultural safety program and assist in developing site-specific safety plans. Constantly solve problems through direct communication, working outdoors in various weather conditions including extreme heat, cold, rain, and snow.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- OSHA 30 Minimum
- Current valid driver's license
- Must be willing and able to commute to and from the job site on a daily basis
- Must be able to understand, interpret, and apply regulatory requirements applicable to the project scope of work
- Must be highly motivated and able to work independently and efficiently under limited supervision
- Ability to learn technical and safety management aspects of all project construction activities
- Excellent mathematical skills, including application, and use in problem solving
- Ability to lead, influence and coordinate own and others' actions
- Ability to manage own time effectively
- Must be able to climb 300' ladder
- Ability to work outdoors in various, often extreme weather conditions including rain, snow, heat, cold, etc.
- Must be able to work in all weather conditions, as safety permits
- Must be able to lift or move up to 25 pounds
Desired Qualifications
- OSHA 510 / OSHA 500 (both preferred but not required)
- 2 years construction safety experience preferred
