Field Safety Technician

Job Summary

Promote company culture and safety policies by representing Signal Energy professionally with clients, subcontractors, and local officials. Assist crews with daily paperwork, including job safety analysis, work instructions, and permit-to-work forms, while completing weekly job site audits. Audit and manage safety equipment such as spill kits, first aid kits, fire extinguishers, and power tool inspections. Issue PPE to crews as needed and exercise stop-work authority when necessary. Facilitate site-specific trainings, deliver toolbox talks, and champion the ALLSAFE cultural safety program. Collaborate with the Safety Manager and project team to assess work safety, track corrective actions, and develop site-specific safety plans. Work outdoors in all weather conditions, including extreme heat, cold, rain, and snow, while climbing ladders and lifting up to 25 pounds.

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent
  • OSHA 30 Minimum
  • Current valid driver's license
  • Must be willing and able to commute to and from the job site on a daily basis
  • Must be able to understand, interpret, and apply regulatory requirements applicable to the project scope of work
  • Must be highly motivated and able to work independently and efficiently under limited supervision
  • Must be able to climb 300' ladder
  • Must be able to lift or move up to 25 pounds
  • Must be able to work in all weather conditions, as safety permits
  • Must be able to work outdoors in various, often extreme weather conditions including rain, snow, heat, cold, etc

Desired Qualifications

  • OSHA 510 / OSHA 500 (both preferred but not required)
  • 2 years construction safety experience preferred
