Job Summary
Conduct safety observations, inspections, and audits to prevent injuries and equipment damage across ramp and operational teams. Coach employees on safe work practices, facilitate safety meetings, and investigate incidents to identify root causes. Partner with local leaders to implement action plans, prepare teams for airline, OSHA, FAA, and internal audits, and maintain accurate documentation. Monitor safety trends using data to recommend improvements and build relationships with regulatory agencies. Lead by example to promote a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with industry standards.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Safety Engineering or in related field preferred
- 1–3 years of experience in safety, operations, aviation, logistics, transportation, manufacturing, warehousing, or a related environment
- Ability to lead by example and influence others through coaching and collaboration
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- Excellent problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
- Commitment to promoting a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement
