Job Summary
Field Safety Specialist responsible for monitoring and enforcing compliance with OSHA, FRA, and Cal/OSHA requirements for California High-Speed Rail projects in Fresno; conducts audits, inspections, and risk assessments to identify hazards and ensure safety program compliance; provides safety guidance and oversight to contractors and consultants; supports management of environmental health and safety programs; develops recommendations to reduce accidents and hazards; participates in field safety and project meetings; on-call to respond to incidents; onboarding Day 1 at an AECOM office; requires BA/BS and 5+ years in railroad/transportation safety; preferred OSHA 30-Hour Construction Safety certification; sponsorship not offered.
Required Qualifications
- BA/BS + 8 YORE or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
- At least 5 years of directly related experience in railroad, transportation operations, or construction/industrial safety
