Job Summary
Field Safety Specialist providing daily support to assigned terminal facilities to drive Health & Safety standards, coaching on hazard identification risk assessment, leading incident investigations, conducting observations and safety compliance reviews, providing information on safety management systems, and coordinating safety meetings, audits, and training across operations, engineering & technical services teams and contractors to bolster safety performance and regulatory compliance.
Required Qualifications
- Associate or Bachelor Degree in Occupational Safety & Health, or relevant discipline preferred
- Minimum of one (1) year relevant safety related work experience in EHS program review, program maintenance, and/or operational field safety support
- Two (2) years’ experience as a safety professional is desired
- Knowledge of state, local and U.S. Government regulations (OSHA, EPA, etc.)
- Exposure to project management and implementation
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and decision-making skills
- Experience in Incident Command (IC) Systems and emergency preparedness/response preferred
- Travel required at a minimum of 40% of the time to assigned terminals
- Effective organizational, time management and communication skills
