Job Summary
Oversee construction operations by ensuring adequate safety oversight, implementing site-specific and company-wide safety plans, and correcting hazards immediately. Provide project-specific safety training to all employees and subcontractors, document violations, and conduct environmental, health, and safety compliance audits. Lead project safety meetings, participate in incident investigations, and accompany injured employees for medical evaluation while communicating safety practices across all project management levels.
Required Qualifications
- 1-5 years of safety-related experience
- Knowledge of and ability to enforce all federal, state, local, and Company safety regulations/requirements
- Ability to recognize hazardous situations and implement corrective measures
- Knowledge of: PPE, Fall Protection, Confined Space, Scaffolding, Crane/Rigging, Hazardous Communication, Equipment Safety, Incident Investigation, Traffic Control, OQ Training
- Excellent time management skills and ability to multitask and prioritize work
- Attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organizational and planning skills
- Proficiency in MS Office
- Ability to work extended hours and weekends when necessary for business needs
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Must successfully pass criminal background checks
- Must successfully pass MVR
- Must successfully pass drug tests (post-employment and random testing)
Desired Qualifications
- Prior heavy construction experience
- Preferred Certificates—Occupational Safety, Osha500, First Aid, and CPR
