Job Summary

Develop and enforce safety policies and procedures while conducting regular site inspections to identify hazards and implement corrective measures. Investigate accidents, near misses, and safety violations, recommending actions to ensure compliance with regulatory standards. Coordinate safety training programs, manage personal protective equipment usage, and maintain detailed records of safety activities and incidents. Collaborate with management to develop safety programs, oversee administrative tasks including contract negotiation and procurement, and liaise with regulatory agencies for audits. Promote a safety-first culture among all personnel while maintaining high construction quality standards and ensuring work meets project specifications. This full-time temporary assignment requires OSHA 30-Hour certification, a Bachelor's degree, and experience in occupational health and safety. Located on a jobsite, the role supports SDI Services' expanded field capacity for utility-scale solar and battery storage projects.

Required Qualifications

  • A Bachelor's degree and/or 2+ years related experience working in occupational health and safety, industrial hygiene, or a related field
  • OSHA 30-Hour Construction Safety Certification
  • In-depth knowledge of safety regulations and standards
  • Familiarity with construction or industrial site operations
  • Risk assessment and hazard identification skills
  • Strong understanding of emergency response procedures
  • Proficiency in safety data analysis and reporting
  • Effective communication and training skills
  • Problem-solving and decision-making abilities
  • Knowledge of safety equipment and technologies
  • Strong knowledge of construction and solar industry practices
  • Excellent understanding of safety regulations and compliance
  • Leadership and team management abilities

  • Must be proficient in MS Office including Excel, Word, and Outlook

  • Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. without requiring employer sponsorship now or in the future
  • Must be available for weekend shifts
  • Must be available for travel
