Job Summary
Conduct jobsite safety inspections and audits across Illinois, Indiana, and Iowa to identify and correct hazards while ensuring compliance with OSHA and customer requirements. Perform site visits to verify adherence to fall protection, lockout/tagout, and confined space protocols, then investigate accidents, injuries, and near misses to drive corrective action plans. Deliver hands-on safety training and annual refresher sessions to field employees, customers, and project teams, serving as the primary safety resource. Oversee fleet operations and driver safety programs to maintain vehicle compliance and efficiency. Partner with external safety consultants to evaluate findings and ensure timely completion of identified improvements.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Health & Safety, Construction Management, or a related field
- 5+ years of safety experience
- Working knowledge of OSHA regulations and safety best practices
- Experience conducting safety audits, incident investigations, corrective action planning, and safety training
- Ability to travel to job sites
- Proficiency with Microsoft 365
- OSHA and regulatory knowledge
- Incident investigation
- Strong communication and coaching abilities
- Training and presentation skills
