Field Safety Inspector

Job Summary
Conduct routine and unannounced field safety inspections and audits across industrial, environmental, utility, and construction projects. Monitor employee activities for compliance with company, client, and OSHA safety requirements, while identifying unsafe acts to implement corrective actions with field personnel. Perform employee safety training on OSHA topics, verify documentation and permits, and assist with incident, injury, and near-miss investigations. Complete site safety reports, communicate findings to management, and track follow-up on corrective actions until completion. Participate in site safety meetings and toolbox talks to promote a positive safety culture. Maintain professional relationships with clients and site representatives while working outdoors in varying conditions. Requires 3–5 years of safety experience, OSHA knowledge, and a valid driver's license.
Required Qualifications
- 3–5 years of safety experience in industrial, construction, utility, environmental, or related industries
- Working knowledge of OSHA regulations and safe work practices
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Proficient with Microsoft Office and electronic reporting systems
- Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and industrial environments
- Ability to walk active job sites for extended periods
- Ability to climb ladders, stairs, inside confined spaces, and work around heavy equipment
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally
- Ability to wear required PPE, including hard hats, safety glasses, steel-toed boots, hearing protection, and respiratory protection as required
- MUST BE CLEAN SHAVEN AT ALL TIMES
Desired Qualifications
- OSHA 30-Hour Certification
- First Aid/CPR Certification
- Experience conducting safety audits and inspections
- Experience working in industrial plants, refineries, manufacturing facilities, or heavy construction environments
- CHST, OHST, or other safety certifications are a plus
