Job Summary
Conduct front-line safety assurance activities and physical quality inspections on nbn workers and infrastructure across FTTP, FTTN, FTTB, FTTC, HFC, FW, and SAT technologies. Rectify non-compliance with nbn standards and provide input to enhance safe working practices and quality processes. Undertake pre and post compliance activities covering the full range of field tasks while coaching Delivery Partner crews and supervisors. Engage with customers and stakeholders to address quality-related concerns and maintain alignment with other safety and quality team members. Perform troubleshooting during testing phases and resolve exchange-related issues. This permanent, full-time role is based in Warragul and includes a company vehicle, laptop, and tools.
Required Qualifications
- Strong experience in a Civil or Telecommunications Field Operations environment
- Solid understanding of telecommunications construction and activation methodologies
- Knowledge in copper and fibre technologies and their installation processes
- Hands-on experience in field engineering—particularly troubleshooting during testing phases and resolving exchange-related issues
- Ability to effectively engage with customers and stakeholders, especially when delivering technical or construction briefings
- Confidence in coaching and upskilling Delivery Partner (DP) crews and supervisors
- Experience in aerial network construction
- Familiarity with NSW-specific legislation and operational practices
- Strong communication skills to guide, mentor, and motivate team members while building solid relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Ability to collaborate effectively with other safety and quality team members
- Ability to engage with customers and community representatives to address any quality-related concerns

Desired Qualifications
- Ideally have hands-on experience in field engineering—particularly troubleshooting during testing phases and resolving exchange-related issues
