Job Summary
Field Safety Advisor for Valard Construction supporting the Waasigan Transmission Line project, based in Ontario, with field-based duties including visible safety presence, coaching field staff, incident investigations, tailboard reviews, safety observations and inspections, safety meetings, and development/review of JSAs; requires post-secondary education in a related field, 5 years of site safety experience, NCSO/CRST certification (CRSP preferred), and a valid driver’s license; schedule is 20 days on / 10 days off with 11-hour days and camp accommodations provided; candidate will reinforce the Health, Safety and Environmental Manual and stay current on applicable legislation and standards.
Required Qualifications
- Post-Secondary education in a related field
- 5 years of construction site safety experience
- National Construction Safety Officer (NCSO) or Canadian Registered Safety Technician (CRST) Certification
- Experience with Microsoft Office applications
- Have and maintain a valid driver's license and provide a driver’s abstract
- Proven experience dealing with client requirements and providing administrative assistance with matters relating to safety
