Job Summary
Field Roof Inspector role performing inspections on steep and high roofs and interior/exterior damage assessments as a Roof Field Technician within Hancock Claims Consultants' independent contractor network. Responsibilities include conducting thorough roof inspections, using lidar-enabled devices, navigating varied weather, and supporting underwriting property inspections for claims management. Requires owning a reliable vehicle capable of transporting a 32’ ladder, familiarity with MS Office (Outlook/Teams), potential HAAG certification, and ability to obtain any necessary credentials to join the contractor pool. Emphasizes safety, professionalism, detail orientation, strong customer service, empathy for insureds, and an entrepreneurial spirit. Roofing/construction background and insurance claims experience are a plus but not required.
Required Qualifications
- Must have a reliable Truck, Van or SUV with ability to transport and carry at least a 32’ ladder
- Must have a Lidar equipped device or ability to obtain one
- Demonstrated knowledge of MS Office applications including Outlook and Teams
- HAAG Certification is a plus
- The ability to get any required certifications or credentials to become part of our contractor pool
