Job Summary
Field Robotics Engineer role focused on onboarding and supporting users of a dual-arm robotics platform used by universities, AI labs, and robotics teams. Responsibilities include installing and configuring systems, providing hands-on technical support under senior guidance, troubleshooting ROS2/Linux/Docker workflows, improving documentation and example projects, supporting simulations and testing with mentorship, collecting customer feedback with senior engineers, and participating in workshops, demos, and conferences (ICRA, RSS, CoRL). The position requires collaboration with teams, travel ~30-40%, and growing ownership of real customer-facing technical problems. Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Robotics, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or related field
- Exposure to ROS or ROS2 through coursework, capstone projects, internships, or research
- Basic experience working in Linux (Ubuntu) environments
- Familiarity with Python and/or C++
- Exposure to Git/GitHub in academic or team projects
- Basic understanding of robotics concepts: Coordinate frames and transforms, Intro kinematics concepts, Sensors and actuators (high-level understanding)
- Willingness and excitement to learn robotics systems in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication skills and the ability to document technical work clearly
