Job Summary
Field Respiratory Therapist – Ventilator Support role delivering specialized respiratory care to ventilator-dependent patients in home/alternate settings. Responsibilities include clinical assessments, ventilator management and patient/caregiver education, discharge planning, documentation, and collaboration with physicians and care teams to ensure safe transitions to home, plus on-call coverage. Requires knowledge of respiratory equipment, HIPAA, PPE, infection control, and regulatory compliance; strong communication and ability to educate patients, caregivers, and healthcare professionals; travel to field/office settings with demonstrated experience in ventilator care and oxygen therapy; associates degree in respiratory program and active license.
Required Qualifications
- Associates degree from an AMA-approved respiratory program
- One (1) year of clinical experience as a Nurse with ventilator exposure, Healthcare Respiratory Therapist or HME Respiratory Therapist
- Valid and unrestricted Respiratory Therapist license in all states serviced by the branch
- CPR certification
- Valid and unrestricted driver’s license
