Field Respiratory Therapist

Field Respiratory Therapist – Ventilator Support delivers specialized respiratory care to ventilator dependent patients in home and alternate care settings. Responsibilities include maintaining advanced knowledge of respiratory equipment and ventilators, performing clinical assessments and reassessments, coordinating discharge planning, instructing patients and caregivers on equipment use, providing follow-up with physicians and referral sources, conducting in-services, ensuring HIPAA and infection control compliance, maintaining thorough patient records, documenting care activities, supporting quality tracking and regulatory compliance, promoting program development and engagement with referral sources, acting as a clinical resource within interdisciplinary teams, ensuring timely communication, and participating in on-call rotation. Requires travel and a full-time schedule.
