Job Summary
Field Respiratory Therapist – Ventilator Support delivers specialized respiratory care to ventilator-dependent patients in home and alternate care settings. Role includes hands-on patient care, education for patients and caregivers, coordination with physicians and care teams, discharge planning for complex cases, documentation of care activities and outcomes, and participation in on-call rotation. Strong focus on ventilator management, clinical assessment, adherence to HIPAA, PPE, infection control, and collaborating with referral sources and interdisciplinary teams to ensure safe, high-quality outcomes outside the hospital.
Required Qualifications
- Associates degree from an AMA-approved respiratory program
- One year of clinical experience as a Nurse with ventilator exposure, Healthcare Respiratory Therapist or HME Respiratory Therapist
- Valid and unrestricted Respiratory Therapist license in all states serviced by the branch
- CPR certification
- Valid and unrestricted driver’s license
