Job Summary
Call on an established prospect database to schedule and conduct in-person appointments with qualified contractors within your assigned territory. Present Colonial Surety's contract surety programs, review contractor financial information to determine qualification for bonding, and prospect and sign new business. Meet and exceed established sales and production goals while traveling throughout your territory using your personal vehicle. Report to the corporate office in Woodcliff Lake, NJ for training and meetings as required. This full-time remote field sales role offers a base salary with an uncapped performance incentive plan, including 401(k), health, dental, and vision benefits.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of field sales experience
- Entrepreneurial mindset with a strong desire to succeed
- Proven consultative and relationship-based selling skills
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Professional and energetic telephone presence
- Confident presentation and closing abilities
- Hunter approach to selling
- Must reside within their assigned territory
- Must be available to report to our corporate headquarters in Woodcliff Lake, New Jersey to make appointments, and for training as needed
- Travel throughout the assigned territory using your personal vehicle
- Report to the corporate office for training and meetings as required
- Professional business attire appearance
Desired Qualifications
- Familiarity with the construction industry and a basic understanding of accounting principles is a plus
