Job Summary
Facilitate patient access for ANI Rare Disease brands by communicating with case management teams, educating healthcare providers on prior authorization and appeal processes, and coordinating activities with Nurse Access Specialists. Provide proactive education to healthcare providers regarding insurance requirements and partner with managed care colleagues to highlight new policy trends. Work with Hub case managers and in-network specialty pharmacies to manage prior authorization communications, while collaborating with sales teams as directed by compliance policies. Address critical access issues with a sense of urgency, navigating challenging scenarios to move patient cases forward. Requires 3-4 years of specialty medication experience, up to 25% travel, and evening/weekend commitments.
Required Qualifications
- Relevant post-secondary education or applicable certifications
- Minimum 3-4 years of experience working with specialty medications – either in pharma, at a provider's office or with an insurance payer
- Demonstrated expertise with both pharmacy and medical benefits in a specialty disease market
- Ability to travel up to 25% with some evening and weekend commitments
