Job Summary
Develop and mentor the field reimbursement team for Purified Cortrophin Gel patient support, focusing on access, reimbursement, prior authorization, and appeal processes. Provide proactive education to healthcare providers on insurance requirements and coordinate communication with Hub case managers, in-network specialty pharmacies, and Nurse Access Specialists. Facilitate patient assistance programs for copays and free goods while partnering with managed care colleagues to highlight policy trends. Collaborate with sales teams as directed by compliance policies to navigate challenging access scenarios. Requires 3-4 years of specialty medication experience, familiarity with OIG and HIPAA guidelines, and ability to travel up to 25% with evening and weekend commitments.
Required Qualifications
- Relevant post-secondary education or applicable certifications
- Minimum 3-4 years of experience working with specialty medications – either in pharma, at a provider's office or with an insurance payer
- Demonstrated expertise with both pharmacy and medical benefits in a specialty disease market
- Ability to travel up to 25% with some evening and weekend commitments
