Job Summary
Field Reimbursement Manager (FRM) in Parkinson’s portfolio is field-based and calls on healthcare professional offices within assigned geography (Boston, MA or Providence, RI). Responsibilities include educating HCPs on patient access programs and reimbursement tools, advising on payer policies, and educating providers on Rx status and program eligibility. Serve as local expertise on national/regional payor policies, liaise with Access and Reimbursement support centers to update providers on coverage and eligibility, and report payer trends. Establish and maintain relationships with providers within territory; stay current on managed care, reimbursement dynamics, and credentialing requirements. Requires strong communication of coding and billing concepts at National/Regional levels, and readiness to meet HCIR credentialing requirements. Requires valid driver’s license and ability to travel within territory; extensive interaction with specialty distribution networks and payer processes. Education and 3+ years in relevant field; proven leadership and territory management capability; ability to work field-based with travel as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in health, sciences, pharmacy or business-related field preferred or relevant and equivalent industry experience required
- 3+ years of experience in Managed Health Care, Payer Account Management, and/or Access and Reimbursement
- Extensive experience educating others on payer processes, requirement for coverage, and other access related situations for specialty medicines
- Strong understanding of drug acquisition and dispensing in the therapeutic area space
- Valid driver’s license and ability to pass pre-employment checks
- HCIR credentialing requirements may include background checks, immunization, fingerprinting, and state/city licenses
