Field Quality Coordinator

Job Summary
Conduct field quality advocacy and support the Quality Manager by addressing needs of QA/QC inspectors and managing audit, inspection, surveillance, and testing activities. Assess work quality, track corrective actions, and investigate non-conformance issues while ensuring subcontractors comply with project quality policies. Maintain project plans, specifications, and quality records, and provide training to the project team and subcontractors. Read IFC drawings and job specifications for civil and electrical work to oversee solar energy projects including roads, foundations, and substations. Communicate quality procedures to all personnel and resolve issues through effective coordination. Work outdoors in various weather conditions, including rain, snow, and heat, while adhering to OSHA 10-hour safety requirements.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year of construction QA/QC experience on large commercial, multi-disciplined, industrial, utility, civil, highway/road, high voltage electrical, solar, or wind energy projects
- OSHA 10-hour minimum
- First Aid
- CPR
- SWPPP Training
- Understanding of technical and quality management aspects of all project construction activities
- Knowledge of public and construction safety and security issues and regulations
- Proficient in mathematical skills for problem-solving
- Ability to read, understand, and apply IFC drawings and job specifications for civil and electrical work
- Ability to coordinate and manage time and resources effectively
- Highly motivated and able to work independently and efficiently under limited supervision
- Ability to identify and address problems proactively
- Strong coordination, time management, active listening, oral and written communication skills, critical thinking, and reasoning skills
- Self-motivated with the ability to learn quickly and independently
- Proficient in using MS Project and MS Office
- Ability to work outdoors in various, often extreme weather conditions including rain, snow, heat, cold, etc.
- Ability to work in all weather conditions, as safety permits
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in SWPPP and erosion control
- Proven auditing experience
- Working knowledge of ISO Quality standards
- ASQ or other Quality Certification
