Job Summary
Inspect, accept or reject work in civil, structural, mechanical, or piping disciplines in accordance with applicable Codes and specifications. This role is to build a qualified pool for maintenance and turnaround projects; when openings occur, qualified candidates will be contacted. Responsibilities include performing inspections and witness tests, preparing quality records, coordinating QC work with other departments (start-up, engineering, process), performing material receipt inspections with material control, verifying systems per design, ensuring accuracy of measuring and test equipment, generating reports, and supporting safety and ethics programs. Requires 2+ years of experience and AWS CWI certification; API 653 certification is preferred. Knowledge of ASME Sec. VIII, Sec IX, B31.1, B31.3, API 650/653, and 1104 Codes is expected. Strong communication and computer skills are required.
Required Qualifications
- 2+ year’s minimum experience
- AWS CWI minimum required
- API 653 certification preferred
- Familiarity with ASME Sec. VIII, Sec. IX, B31.1, B31.3, API 650/653, 1104 Codes
- Strong understanding of corporate and industry practices, processes and standards
- Excellent oral and written communication skills; good computer skills including MS Word and Excel
