Job Summary
Field QA/QC in fabrication shop responsible for dimension and visual inspections of welded piping and structural steel, recording weld symbols, heat numbers, and radiography numbers on drawings and travel sheets; preparing documentation for hydrostatic & pneumatic pressure tests; installing name plates and coordinating inspections with ABSA, NDE Contractors and Client TPI's; completing Quality Control paperwork; ability to work in a manufacturing facility with other trades; perform outside/inside work in extreme weather; capable of lifting up to 60lbs, working at heights, and moving on/off equipment and ladders; ASME and CSA codes familiarity; welding and ASME equipment/piping experience is an asset.
Required Qualifications
- CWB Level 2 Certification
- 2+ years of Quality Control experience
- Common Safety Orientation ticket
- Solid understanding of ASME and CSA codes and practices
- Ability to use tools and equipment safely
- Commitment to safety and safe work practices
- Experience in welding and ASME equipment and piping is an asset
