Job Summary
Investigate and evaluate onsite damage to resolve complex coverage issues, preparing complete repair estimates and accessing roofs, attics, and crawl spaces. Handle moderate to complex claims independently from first notice of loss to final closure while coordinating vendor services for contractors and emergency repairs. Work in a vehicle daily within the Fort Worth, TX territory, providing hands-on assessments, explaining coverage, and assisting with itemization and additional living arrangements. May be called upon for catastrophe duty. This role includes a comprehensive five-month training program with limited overnight travel and offers a sign-on bonus for experienced or licensed new hires.
Required Qualifications
- Working knowledge of claims handling procedures and operations
- Proven ability to provide exceptional customer service
- Effective negotiation skills
- Ability to effectively and independently manage workload while exhibiting good judgment
- Strong written/oral communication and interpersonal skills
- Computer skills with the ability to work with multi-faceted systems
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
- At least 1 year of directly related experience
- Ability to obtain proper licensing as required
- Ability to handle multiple competing priorities and organize your day
- Strong time management and organizational skills
- Demonstrated understanding of building construction principles
- Candidates should live within or near Fort Worth, TX (76109) and surrounding areas
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs (implied by 'accessing roofs by ladder, inspecting attics, crawl spaces and basements')
