Job Summary
Manage interior construction projects from start to finish by overseeing subcontractors, coordinating vendors, and ensuring work meets quality and safety standards. Forecast costs and schedules to maintain budgets and deadlines while resolving on-site issues and emergencies. Interface directly with clients, design teams, and crews to streamline execution and approve deliverables, timesheets, and invoices daily. Read blueprints, purchase orders, and change orders to guide project progress. This role offers hands-on training for construction management within a team environment, with an office in NY and nationwide travel opportunities.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Valid Driver's License
- 2-3 year of experience in the construction field, preferably with carpentry
- Ability to travel up to 60-70% annually including air travel
- Desire to travel nationwide
- Must be able to work schedules that include: day, evening, overnights, and weekends
- A proven problem solver and team player
- Hiring out of NY (office)
Desired Qualifications
- Associate degree in related field
- General knowledge of building code and ability to read blueprints
- Working knowledge of project management software and use of Gantt Charts
- Basic computer/typing skills and knowledge of MS Suites software such as Word, Excel and Outlook Office/Email
- OSHA Certification preferred
- 3 years of experience in the construction field
- Thrives in team environment, simultaneously self-sufficient
