Job Summary
Field Project Manager responsible for overseeing AMI deployments at customer sites and serving as the primary contact for managing multi-faceted projects and customer relationships. Plan, execute, monitor, and control projects from initiation through delivery and commissioning; provide on-site support, training, and problem resolution; coordinate requirements, system design, deliveries, and progress reporting; oversee systems integration between the AMI platform and other utility vendor systems; negotiate, implement, and supervise subcontracts where required; regularly report on project performance to management and key stakeholders. Requires up to 50% travel within the United States and a Bachelor's degree or advanced certification in a related field; preferred PMP designation and experience with AMI/AMR, RF, or wireless communications systems.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or advanced certification in Project Management, Operations Management, Engineering (Computer, Electrical, or Systems), or a related field
- Familiarity with utility or energy sector operations
- 4+ years of experience contributing to or leading implementation or deployment projects
- Demonstrated experience managing customer and stakeholder relationships
- Must reside within one hour of a major US airport; preference for candidates in IN, MN, MO, IA, or TN
- Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
