Job Summary
Oversee overall site management of projects for successful completion within budget and scope, working with the Project Coordinator to prepare installation plans and implement job procedures. Supervise Project Specialists, Installers, and subcontractors in the field, including mentoring, coaching, planning, and assigning work. Recruit and hire Project Specialists and Installers while directly managing their performance. Coordinate subcontractor activities, verify quality assurance standards, and identify risks to minimize impact on costs and deadlines. Install, program, test, repair, and service security, fire alarm, and building automation systems while providing technical support and training to customers. Ensure installations comply with national, local codes, and company standards.
Required Qualifications
- College degree, trade school or equivalent experience
- 5-7 years relevant experience
- Relevant trade designation (e.g. Electrician)
- Must have experience with Security Programming
- Valid driver's license
- Advanced mechanical and electrical aptitude (e.g. works with a variety of hand and power tools such as drill, screwdriver, wire stripper, hacksaw, crimper)
- Ability to read blueprints and drawings
- Advanced math skills (for some positions, this may include calculating area, velocity, resistance, voltage, etc.)
- Must be a self-starter and work well without supervision
Desired Qualifications
- Associate degree in Electronics
- Experience in 1 or more of the following industries: electronic, fire alarm & life safety, and/or building automation
