Job Summary
Oversee site management for Fire, Security, and Building Automation projects to ensure timely completion within budget and scope. Supervise Project Specialists, installers, and subcontractors while coordinating installation plans, quality assurance, and customer training. Identify project risks, manage deviations from estimated costs and deadlines, and troubleshoot technical issues on-site. Perform installation, programming, testing, repairs, and services for various systems, including reading blueprints and using hand/power tools. Work closely with the Project Coordinator to recommend scope changes and continuously improve customer satisfaction.
Required Qualifications
- College degree, trade school or equivalent experience
- 5-7 relevant years of experience
- Valid driver's license
- Exceptional customer focus
- Ability to regularly work under pressure
- Consistent ability to maintain awareness of, and seek to meet the needs and wants of the customer without being prompted
- Strong supervision skills
- Installation experience related to building automation systems, fire alarm systems, and/or electronic security systems
- Strong field supervision skills
- Proven ability to troubleshoot problems and look for solutions
- Must be a self-starter
- Ability to work well without supervision
- Advanced mechanical and electrical aptitude
- Ability to read blueprints and drawings
- Advanced math skills
- Strong verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
- Advanced organizational skills
- Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
- Highly proficient computer skills including familiarity with MS Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel)
- Frequent visits to jobsites
- Minimum overnight travel
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in 1 or more of the following industries: electronic, fire alarm & life safety, and/or building automation
- College degree in Electronics
