Job Summary

Oversee Deep Foundations and Geotechnical construction projects by managing contract administration, change orders, and schedule updates. Track work quantities, costs, and production analysis while coordinating resource allocation and vendor management. Develop RFIs, work plans, and submittals; draft purchase orders and subcontract agreements. Communicate contract scope and productivities to field staff and liaise with owners, designers, and architects on schedule and issues. Assist with monthly financial reporting, estimating, and CPM schedule development. Maintain as-built drawings and data collection. Act as primary engineer and contract administrator on small and mid-size projects. This role supports the ALCOSAN Ohio River Tunnel Project, a large-scale effort to reduce combined sewer overflows. Based in suburban Pittsburgh, the position requires a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or Business Management, with experience in heavy civil or geotechnical work.

Required Qualifications

  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and plans
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software (particularly Excel)
  • Excellent verbal, written, and communication skills
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines and attention to detail
  • Ability to be flexible and quickly adapt to new challenges
  • Must be willing and able to travel or relocate as necessary for projects
  • Bachelor's Degree in a related field, which may include Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or Business Management or the equivalent experience in the construction industry
  • Must sign our standard confidentiality agreement as a condition of employment
  • This position will be subject to more stringent drug testing and compliance policies associated with our status as a Federal Contractor

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience with various types of heavy civil or geotechnical work including, but not limited to, mass concrete, post-tensioning, dams, drilling, soil nails, caissons, tie backs, shotcrete, slurry walls is preferred
